Dr. Tom Ardelt, DVM

Dr. Ardelt has been with Arrowhead Ranch since 1999. He received a Bachelor of Science in 1978 from Illinois State University, a Masters of Science in 1986 from Illinois State University and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1993 from the University of Florida. Before joining our staff he was an assistant professor of aquatic animal medicine at Mississippi State University and then spent 3 years working at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, where he treated and coordinated the health care of the many animals housed at the amusement park (ie. fish, sea turtles, dolphins and manatees to name just a few). In 1999 he added his years of animal care experience and compassion to our growing staff and is now a senior partner.

He grew up in Wheaton, Illinois about 20 miles west of Chicago. He now lives in Glendale with his wife Judy and three adorable children, twins, Ryan and Elizabeth and their younger sister Lauren.
